Peer Review workshop

We attended the Peer review workshop in Bolton today as part of the current round of Toolkits & Demonstrators. We were put into groups and reviewed each others' projects. We reviewed the ResourceBrowser project, who reviewed FROCKLE who reviewed DesignShare. Roy demonstrated the plugin. Got some useful notes from the review. ResourceBrowser looked interesting for us as they were using FOAF to see what friends had liked to in a repository (Delta) but also a user could search by pedagogy and subject, which is just what we were discussing at the meeting in CETIS yesterday (see entry in my LD4P blog).

Alpha version of plug-in

Roy Cherian has produced an alpha version of the Reload plug-in. This goes beyond what we had planned at this stage.

The plug-in connects to the DesignShare openDocument.net server and allows one to searchthe repository from within Reload. A UoL (unit of learning) can be selected and downloaded, whereupon a project is automatically generated within Reload so the UoL can be immediately opened up. Below is a screenshot showing the form in Reload.
