We had a very useful initial project meeting at CETIS today. Dai Griffiths, Ray Elferink and Phil Beauvoir (for Roy Cherian) attended.
We discussed how the project was going to work, in particular, Ray described the OpenDocument.net architecture and Phil talked about how the plugin to Reload could be developed and linked to the repository.
We're going to start off with a simple browser implementation in Reload that connects to the OpenDocument.net server via its web interface. Then a plugin will be developed that consists of the business logic to connect to the OpenDocument.net API via XML-RPC, and after that a UI in Reload to connect to this. Phil thought it might be good (although beyond the scope of the project) to take the busniess logic out of reload and have it as a service in its own right.
